Selection, Placement and Orientation

Testing

The PACE Placement Test used by Northern Cape Urban TVET College is a selection mechanism that may be used as part of the admissions process. Changes to admission requirements must be approved by the Career Guidance Counselor. The Placement Test determines the course in which the student is most interested in and suited to.

The PACE Placement Test measures potential students to succeed in the programme applied for. The result is then considered for admission or correct registration for programmes. The test battery focuses on numerical and reading comprehension. Results are then provided to each department to include in decision-making along with data on Grade 11/12 results and required subjects.

The PACE Placement Test is an online application and every new student that applies to the College must write the placement test in order to be registered for a course.

Orientation
