The past year has seen tremendous growth in the Further Education and Training (TVET) sector. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) bursary allocation for our College was increased considerably, allowing us to assist more students who are financially challenged to achieve their dreams of acquiring education and training in the TVET Sector. The latter mentioned goes hand in hand with the Minister’s announcement of the TVET Sector combining with the Sector Education Training Authorities (SETA’S) and having to play a central role with regard to the skills development and artisan training in our country.

This year the College has entered into partnership with the Swiss-South African Cooperative Initiative (SSACI), and strengthened its partnership with USAID around the placement of learners and lecturers in the workplace for experiential training and learners for gainful employment in response to the Minister’s marching orders.

The College is fully committed to its mission and vision and takes pride in the efforts of management and staff in pursuance of service excellence for the College.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every College Council member and all the committees for their commitment and support provided to me as the Chairperson. You have made my task easy. I also wish to convey my appreciation to the principal, management staff and students for their roles in making the College a success.

We look forward to the future with great optimism and expectation that the College will continue to grow and deliver excellent service to our communities.
